Wednesday, November 25 is Special Person’s Day at St. Joan of Arc. We invite each child to bring someone who is special in his/her life. We will join for mass at 8:45 and will have refreshments back at school. If you would like to donate juice or donuts, please let me know. All students may leave after mass. If your child stays, we will have a 1:00 dismissal. There will be no school on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for Thanksgiving. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. I know I am truly grateful to teach at St. Joan of Arc with a wonderful staff, parents, and children.
We will have a division quiz on Tuesday, November 24. The quiz will be over estimating quotients, dividing quotients mentally, 2 digit by 1 digit division, and 3 digit by 1 digit division. We will have Math Pentathlon this Friday from 8:30-9:30.
We will have our weekly vocabulary test on Friday, November 20. There will be no vocabulary test next week.
We are editing our personal narratives and will begin writing I Am Thankful poems on Friday.
Students need to recite the Act of Contrition on Friday, November 20.
Students in the third, fourth, and fifth grade will go to the IRT to see the play A Christmas Carol on Tuesday, December 1. Please return all permission slips by Monday.
I sent home scholastic book order forms last week. Please return by Wednesday, November 25 if you or your child would like to order books.
